terrible!

This ramen is very good and delicious pork broth. I was walking hone on evening and I stumbled upon this place. Usually this whole area is very quiet during the weekdays at around 8pm so I was very surprised to see a ramen place here. I seized the opportunity to get myself a bowl and I was very satisfied afterwards. Price is around 1000 yen per bowl but there are many options.

Be warned, this is "back-fat" style ramen. In addition to rich, creamy broth, it has little bits of delicious fat floating around.A timeless establishment, you will most likely find at least a short line to even step up to the street level standing-only counter. Orders only via machine/token (thankfully English signage), very reasonable 1000yen for chashu ramen 1200 extra large) as of 7/25/2018. Counter has bowls of fresh cut spring onion, garlic paste, and spicy stuff so you can doctor your bowl to taste. Oh, and free jasmine tea (served an initial glass, refill yourself from pitcher within reach).I found chashu portion good, noodles a nice chew and highly slurpable, and broth a very balanced flavor. Would not recommend finishing every bite and gulp, you will feel that extra fat for a while.Solid 'A' ramen experience.

The real Tonkotsu ramen deal. Not more than once a year for your diet... but so good !

Great ramen noodles! They make their own noodles. All ingredients are fresh, the broth is very rich and fatty.The portions are huge!

こちらのお店は、説明無用、背脂ラーメン界のレジェンドであり、国立競技場前にポツンと存在するイエローサインが目印の超有名店。五輪開催時には、世界のラーメン通が訪れる神宮外苑の人気スポットと化すのでしょう。数年ぶりに訪れた本日は、基本のキである「ラーメン(¥800)」に「味付玉子(¥100)」をトッピングしました。二階への階段を上がり、セルフのおしぼりと空のグラスを取って、座席へ座ります。登場したラーメンは、麺が全く見えないほどの量があるスープにシャキシャキもやし、メンマ、味付玉子と極めてシンプルな風合い。卓上のザルから入れ放題のネギを大量にオンしてから、いっただっきま～す！中太麺は気持ち柔らかめで、背脂が絡む絡む。このスープの塩加減は絶妙かつ最高ですね。見た目ヤバそうに見える背脂も、飲んでみると割かしサッパリとしています。これが長く愛される秘訣なのでしょう。味付玉子はインパクトちょい弱めですが、旨いスープに浸して食べるから、これでいいのです！後半は卓上にあるすりおろしニンニクを入れて味の変化を楽しみます。スープは半分くらい飲み干して終了。久々のホープ軒でしたが、安定感抜群。やっぱ旨いですね。

Open 24hrs. Smells like a slaughterhouse with a hint of chlorine. The downtown experience but wont go there anymore.

A ramen that has a simple impression, such as the original Tonkotsu ramen.From the seats on the 2nd floor, you can see the venue of the Olympics and it feels strange.The clerk has a good personality, and the inside of the shop is also good at handling tonkotsu, so it's beautiful and you can eat comfortably!

A fantastic bowl of ramen. I loved the atmosphere in the shop. You purchase your tickets outside on the a street. It is a tonkotsu shoyu ramen similar to Jiro. The noodles are better and you don't leave feeling as overwhelmed as Jiro style bowls.

Koizumi-san made me do this ;) Fantastic seabura (pork back fat) ramen. But the chashu wasn’t great at all. Next time i go with the negi-version only or the wonton ramen. Awesome place - second floor is counter seating.

Right outside the baseball stadium, this place attracts all the sports fan coming out of a game. Plus all the late night bus drivers. Highly unusual is that there's 3 floors! If you're in this area, it might be fun to stop by a very typical and local Ramen restuarant like this. It's not amazing or anything special, but more for the experience.

Good thick shoyu tonkatsu ramen.This ramen has a lot of fat on top of the soup (its intentional) that brings out a delicious distinct flavor. But probably not recommended on eating often.

This is a quick and easy place. Seriously no frills ramen shop with a delicious big bowls of no nonsense food. Great if you are on the go. Menu in English too.

Huge bowls and great taste.You get your monies worth. Hard to finish so big bowl of food. I recommend going.It is not only the first floor, but also second and third floor that has seats to eat the food.

The ramen here is only one kind of pork bone soy sauce with back fat chucha. After that, there are only some menus such as wonton noodles and char siu noodles. My own way is to add garlic, soy sauce, pepper, green onions, and sauce to break the taste. It doesn't add to the taste and gives a punchy taste, which is a habit. There is a taste that you like and dislike.

Pretty good! It's a salt-of-the-Earth joint. We were walking by and hungry. First experience with obtaining tokens from the vending machine, and exchanging them for food. Staff didn't speak English, but were friendly and helpful. The ramen was not the best I've ever had, but... Ramen!

Nice rahmen noodle. Grand floor doesn't have chairs but 1st floor does have.

Good ramen. All you can add garlic, hot sauce, and chopped green onion is a plus. 1 min on foot from the new Olympic stadium.

Open 24 hours! I once showed up here at 7am after an overnight drive and ate standing up at the ground floor counter with taxi drivers. Another time we ate sitting down on the 2nd floor and although it was a different experience, it was just as delicious. The broth is very rich, fatty and tasty. The noodles are thicker and made in-house. There are bowls of garlic and a red spicy sauce that you can load up on and you can customize your order as I did, preferring no bean sprouts.
